Marble in a classic interior: an apartment in the residential complex Khreshchatyk (Kiev)

Marble is a noble stone that delights with the natural beauty of the rock and the uniqueness of the pattern, and is also famous for its durability. In the interior of the apartment in a classic style, we used marble for the flooring and design of the backsplash. We chose three types of marble: light Bottichino Royal (Italy), dark Emperador Medium and Emperador Dark (Turkey).

The craftsmen of the Clerys stone studio worked on the creation of patterns from these three types of stone - the jewelry precision of the work is achieved by the method of water-jet cutting of the stone.

Such a combination of different shades of stone emphasizes not only its aesthetics, but also the strength of the material - marble is heat and moisture resistant, lends itself to the most difficult processing, while not crumbling or splitting into pieces.

Marble suits both classic and modern interiors: it gives the space a special chic and elegance. The most popular uses for this stone are bathroom floor and wall decoration, kitchen backsplash and kitchen countertops, accent wall in the living room or dining room.

The color of marble and its pattern depend on the chemical composition of the stone - it's all about the admixtures of minerals and organic compounds. Depending on what exactly is an impurity (and in what concentration) the color of marble can be red (sometimes pink and in rare cases with a tinge of rust), blue-black, green, yellow, brown, gray, bluish and black. The pattern is also determined by the direction in which the stone is cut. The color and pattern of marble appears after it has been polished.
